Baseball

Baseball is a bat-and-ball team sport played between two teams, typically consisting of nine players each. The game is played on a diamond-shaped field with four bases arranged in a square. The objective of the game is for one team, the offense, to score runs by hitting a ball thrown by the other team, the defense, and then running around the bases to reach home plate. The defense tries to prevent runs from scoring by getting offensive players out through various means such as catching batted balls, tagging runners, or throwing the ball to a base before a runner arrives. Baseball is known for its distinct rules, including the use of strikes and balls, and is often referred to as America’s pastime. The sport is highly strategic, involving elements of skill such as pitching, hitting, and fielding, and is played both professionally and recreationally around the world.
